Shhh!: Strick House Library by Oscar Niemeyer-
You may have previously seen my post about Oscar Niemeyer’s 1965 Strick House (HERE if you haven’t) but I couldn’t resist posting a few more pics (sometimes 10 images just isn’t enough!).
For me this is the pièce de résistance, the double height library containing current owner Michael Boyd’s epic book collection. It also houses a few pieces of his equally epic furniture collection, a Gerrit Rietveld zig-zag chair, Arne Jacobsen Egg chair and Mies Van Der Rohe’s MR20 to name a few!
This is taken from the book Modernist Paradise by Michael Webb and Michael and Gabrielle Boyd with Photography by Tim Street-Porter.
Their collection is so breathtaking and inspiring. My collection is miniscule in comparison but one day!
